Big Bend Emmaus Training

Please plan to attend this fun class that will help you understand the philosophy and purpose of the Emmaus/Chrysalis TEAM experience.  Classes are generally offered on the day of a gathering approximately 3 hours before the start of the covered dish dinner.  We'll spend three hours in praise, song, and discussion about the Fruits of the Spirit and how they interact in Team activity.  Attendance at this class is a requirement prior to working on a team.

This is new material that has not been covered in previous team training, so we encourage everyone, regardless of experience, to attend the class. Even if you haven't been called to a Team, but would like more information about the "why" behind the flow of the weekend, please join us! This class is not yet required to work on a Team, but it is highly encouraged.

The material for this class was taken with permission from the Emmaus Handbook. You will be enriched by this class that reveals the Biblical principals behind the various parts of the weekend. We'll share:

  • A brief history
  • The Silent Servant
  • The Canon of the Emmaus/Chrysalis Team
  • The Wagon Wheel of love
  • The Nine Fruits of the Sprit
  • Our purpose for each of the Three Days
  • Sponsorship as the first act of Agape
  • Biblical references for all parts of the Walk
  • Please spread the word about the class to those who don't have e mail!
